King prawns and noodles:

Vegetable oil for frying

1 small onion, halved and sliced

1 small red bell pepper, seeded and thinly sliced

½ lb. raw king prawns, butterflied

4 scallions, sliced diagonally

A handful of bean sprouts

2/3 lb. fresh ramen noodles

Pink pickled shredded ginger shredded for topping

Toasted black and white sesame seeds for topping

Instructions:

1. Combine all sauce ingredients and set aside.

2. Heat oil in a wok and sauté onion and bell pepper for 4 minutes or until tender. Mix in prawns, scallions, and cook for 2 to 3 minutes or until opaque and pink. Stir in bean sprouts, noodles, sauce, and cook for 2 to 3 minutes or noodles are ready.

3. Dish food, top with pickled ginger, sesame seeds, and serve warm.
